How to Get a Her a Ring She’ll Absolutely LOVE!

Categories: Engagement Ring

Here are our suggestions for choosing a ring she’ll love:

Tip #1 – Make it about her

Guys – this is important. Don’t focus too much on what you like. Why? Because it’s going to be her ring. She’s going to wear it. Her friends are going to admire it. She will treat it as the most special thing she owns. She has dreamed of the man she loves proposing to her and marrying her ever since she was a child.

Guys just don’t think about engagement rings that way, right? The ring is a symbol of your love and devotion to her, and your commitment to be her friend, protector, mate, and so forth. But since it’s for her, let it be something she loves, even if it’s not your first choice.

Tip #2 – You don’t want to go too cheap on this purchase

Your engagement ring says a lot about you, and what you think of her. That doesn’t mean you have to spend more than you can afford to pay, but it means don’t be too miserly. You can be economical on the car you drive or the clothes you wear, or whatever you want, but put that thinking in perspective with her engagement ring. At least it’s something that will hold it’s value, long after the cars and other purchases are forgotten. It has a sentimental value, of course, but diamonds have generally maintained more dollar value than just about any other purchase.

Tip #3 – Try to find out what she likes, even if you choose the ring yourself

If you know the shape of the center diamond and the “look” she prefers, such as vintage, halo, solitaire, classic, etc, and whether she wants to wear a wedding band with it after the wedding, you’ll be more able to select a ring that she’ll like. If you really want to be sure, you can let her shop with you until you are ready to make your decision.

This is a great opportunity to demonstrate how much you love her, and how much she means to you. Even if you can’t purchase the ring you’d really like to give her, it’ll mean a lot that you took the time to choose a ring that you think she’ll like. If you can’t afford the ring you’d like to give her now, you may want to trade up when you can. Anniversaries, birthdays and Christmas are all great occasions for that.

The fact that it’s from you will make it 10 times more special.
